Nettitude, the global leader in the delivery of cyber assurance, and managed security services, has become a founding member of CREST’s new US Chapter, after the accreditation and certification body signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Security Agency (NSA) to take over the operation of its Cyber Incident Response Assistance (CIRA) accreditation programme.

CREST has also this week launched its US Chapter with offices in New York and announced its founding members, Nettitude, Gotham Digital Science (GDS) – a Stroz Friedberg company, MWR InfoSecurity, Stroz Friedberg and Trustwave.  Nettitude’s CEO and director of CREST International, Rowland Johnson, has welcomed the news.  A longstanding member of the CREST executive board, Johnson advises on internationalisation strategy, helping to deliver the UK’s cyber security capabilities into global markets.

“As a successful exporter of British cyber expertise to the States, which is likely the largest cyber security market in the world, we’re delighted to be a founding member of the new US Chapter,” said Ben Densham, CTO of Nettitude.  “The UK is a global leader in cyber security talent and the new US Chapter will help to align international accreditation standards and support organisations that operate in multiple countries and regions.”

CREST’s move into the US has been supported by the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) as part of its commitment to promoting the UK’s professional cyber security skills and experience abroad.
