Leading IT security specialist, Nettitude (www.nettitude.co.uk) is delighted to announce that it has been accepted on to the Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers (CREST).
CREST was launched in the 2008 as the IT security industries first association of providers of penetration testing. Penetration testing is an established method of assuring information security, but an absence of standards and professional qualifications in the field has made it difficult for companies to find suppliers they can trust.
"Nettitude is delighted to have been accepted onto the CREST Council,” said Rowland Johnson, CEO at Nettitude. “It is an excellent standard for distinguishing good testers with strong approaches towards methodology, consistency and capability. It helps eliminate the problems customers can face when they are choosing a testing company.”
CREST is the result of collaboration by 22 companies in the security industry to create a not-for-profit standards based organisation for penetration testers to provide assurance to end-users of the competence of member companies.
